INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Pacers have picked North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough with the 13th pick in the NBA draft.

Hansbrough led North Carolina to the NCAA title this past season, and The Associated Press named him its national player of the year. The Atlantic Coast Conference's all-time leading scorer on Thursday became part of Indiana's rebuilding effort.

Hansbrough worked out for the Pacers in Indianapolis this month. Team president Larry Bird raved about Hansbrough this week, saying that people had picked on him, but "all he's ever done is won."

Awesome! I think Hansbrough is going to make many of you naysayers eat some dirt! This kid love him, or hate him works hard for what he wants. That is a good role model for all kids! Go Hansbrough!

Woe be to the teams, that passed on Tyler! They will regret their decision, many times over;before he is finished
in the NBA.
