FREDRICKSBURG, Va. -- The Carolina Dynamo capped an impressive weekend with a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the Fredricksburg Gunners on Sunday in a PDL men's soccer match at Fredericksburg Academy.
The win followed Saturday night's 3-1 victory over Northern Virginia, helping the Dynamo stay within three points of second-place Cary in the Mid-Atlantic Division standings.
"We're happy because we separated ourselves from some the teams that were making a playoff push up the standings," Dynamo assistant coach Matt Brown said.
Trailing 1-0, Carolina (5-3-2) tied the game in the 67th minute on a goal by Gary Lewis. The Dynamo took the lead five minutes later on Scott Rojo's goal off a pass from Sheanon Williams. Williams assisted on both goals.
