Wednesday night Bible study is not always learning what the Scriptures have to say, but a place where you talk to friends about things that have happened.
Phyllis usually doesn’t talk that much at Bible study. She smiles, nods her head, or sometimes you can see a tear. But this particular night she said, “Let me tell you about my day.”
It started that morning on her way to work. She realized her car was on empty, and she had no money for gas, or for lunch for that matter. She prayed that she could get to Wendover, where she works at Kmart.
When she came to Wendover, a homeless man came to her window and asked for change.
She told him that she did not have any and proceeded to tell him that she had no money for lunch and did not know how she was going to get home that night.
She said he looked at her, gave her $5 and told her that she needed the money more than he did.
Phyllis was so overwhelmed about the homeless man, she told everyone who would listen. She told us that you never know where your blessings will come from.

Just a word of thanks to the awesome woman with two kids getting ready to bike on the Lake Brandt greenway. They selflessly halted their ride to take me home after I had a bike incident that would have required me to ride the rest of the way standing up or walking my bike.
The kindness of strangers in this world today should not go unmentioned. Thanks whoever you are.
