For all you summer shutterbugs out there, you might want to zoom in on this deal if you're in the hunt for a new digital camera that also shoots great video.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX150 compact digital camera is $213.54 at www.buy.com (regularly $299). It shoots pictures at an impressive resolution of 14 megapixels.

Jerry Wolford, a News & Record photographer, told me about the deal. His daughter also has a camera and loves it.

"To me, it is the best point-and-shoot camera on the market," Wolford said.

Some highlights pointed out by Wolford: Video quality is amazing. You can shoot in high definition (720p at 24 frames per second). You can also take pictures in 16:9 format.

The camera ranked seventh out of 29 point-and-shoots in the subcompact category in a new Consumer Reports magazine survey. Subcompacts can fit in a purse or pocketbook.

The survey, featured in the magazine's July issue, examined 77 cameras.

Now, what will you do with all the pictures you've taken? Take advantage of a great deal at CVS. Get 50 free prints when you open an account and add your ExtraCare card number.
