GREENSBORO The death of a woman whose body was found outside a Greensboro apartment complex Monday morning has been ruled a homicide, police said Tuesday evening.

An autopsy was completed Tuesday on the woman, who was found about 8:30 a.m. Monday in a grassy area near a parking lot at RS King Apartments at 1004 John Demery Drive.

Greensboro police Capt. Janice Rogers said the woman was killed intentionally, but would not comment on a cause of death or provide other details because of an ongoing investigation.

She said investigators are still working to contact the woman’s family members before releasing her identity or age.

The case is the city’s 8th homicide of 2009.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
