GREENSBORO — Large sections of Interstate 40 and Business 85 will be closed in Greensboro this weekend so state crews can pave the highways.
State crews also will close a portion of U.S. 29 as part of this paving project.
Weather conditions could impact the closure times and dates.
Eastbound Interstate 40 will be closed from Gallimore Dairy Road (Exit 211) to McConnell Road (Exit 226).
Northbound Business 85 will be closed between Groometown Road (Exit 119) and McConnell Road (Exit 226).
Traffic will be routed onto Interstate 73 and Interstate 85, south of the city.
Westbound Interstate 40 and southbound Business 85 will remain open.
On northbound U.S. 29, lanes will be closed from Interstate 40/Business 85 to East Lee Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto eastbound Interstate 40 and then to the East Lee Street exit (Exit 131).
Southbound lanes of U.S. 29 will remain open.
The roads will close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen at 6 a.m. Monday.
