Police: Weekend shooting involved children playing with handgun

GREENSBORO - A 3-year-old child remained hospitalized Monday after being shot over the weekend by another child playing with a handgun.
The shooting happened at 9:27 a.m. Saturday at 2032 Willow Road, police said.
Capt. Janice Rogers said a 6-year-old child accidentally shot the 3-year-old while playing with a loaded handgun.
The child, who police have not identified, remains at Cone Hospital in critical condition, Rogers said.
She said an investigation is ongoing and couldn’t comment on whether charges will be filed against adults supervising the children.
