GREENSBORO – Four people at two area businesses have been arrested following an investigation regarding the sale and possession of alleged stolen property.
Following a 14-month investigation, officers arrested two employees of N.C. Tobacco at 1000 Summit Ave. and two employees at the Exxon at 801 E. Market St. on charges of receiving or possessing goods represented as stolen and conspiracy.
Greensboro police Lt. Dennis Willoughby said the investigation dealt mainly with cigarettes and cigars that the employees were purchasing, while under the assumption the property was stolen.
The employees at N.C. Tobacco also allegedly purchased a Playstation 2 video game console they believed was stolen, Willoughby said.

“We got wind of this through some suspects that were charged with larceny some time ago,” Willoughby said.
He could not provide further details on the investigation, including
who was presenting the alleged stolen property to the employees.
Charged were Habib Ur Rehman, 28, and Lubna Farooq Khan, 33, both of 5140 Hicone Road in McLeansville, both employees of N.C Tobacco.
Also charged were Adil Eltahir Abdelsadig, 49, of 5606 W. Market St. and Elie Simaan, 55, of 6205 Wescott Drive in Summerfield. Both were employees at the Exxon station.
