Treat your mom on Mother's Day to something unique without breaking the bank.

Replacements Ltd. in Greensboro is hosting a traditional English afternoon of tea on fine china with complimentary fruit and scones.

The event, which is free, will be held from 2 to 5 Sunday.

Although not required, Replacements is accepting donations to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Replacements carries the world's largest selection of old and new china, crystal, silver and collectibles.

Get your favorite designer brand names such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Hudson Jeans and Tibi for 40 percent off next weekend as part of a Greensboro fashion store's effort to promote its name change.

Simply Meg's at The Shops at Friendly Center used to be a Scout and Molly's store, which also has a location in Raleigh.

But Meg Strader and her husband, Challey, decided to develop their own brand name.

The 40-percent discount is good toward clothes, shoes, handbags, accessories and undergarments. The sale is May 15-17.

Buy or sell gold and diamonds, have a family portrait taken for Mother's Day and shop for other items during the Sedgefield Presbyterian Church's tag sale Saturday in Greensboro.

It will be from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Proceeds will help the church's youth programs.

The church will also have a breakfast fundraiser, bake sale and a canned food drive.
