Replacements Ltd. has the perfect Mother’s Day gift for the woman who has everything — take her to a tea party.

The McLeansville collectibles dealer will host the fourth annual Mother’s Day Charity Tea to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The foundation uses proceeds to fight breast cancer through research and outreach programs.

“It’s a fun event with excellent food, fun and, of course, excellent china,” showroom supervisor Jill Slatter said. Slatter, a two-time breast cancer survivor, has attended the event before and says it’s fun for everyone.

“This is, of course, near and dear to my heart and last year, there were four generations of my family here,” she said.

Attendees can expect to partake in traditional English afternoon tea on fine china with complimentary fruit and scones.

“Forks are looking for alternative ways to celebrate Mother’s Day, and this is one way to do that,” showroom manager Keith Winkler said.

This is a way to celebrate and raise funds and awareness at the same time, he added.

“This is a women’s health issue that affects a lot of the population,” he said. “And everyone can join in.”

The tea party is free and there is no need to RSVP.

“We usually plan for several hundred,” Winkler said.
