The First Romanian Church of the Triad is having an open house at 4 p.m. April 26 at Magnolia Street Baptist Church, 1230 Magnolia St., Greensboro.
When Anca and Christian Muntean moved to the Triad in 2007, they immediately sought out fellow Romanian community members interested in starting a church.
“It was always Christian’s vision to put a church like this together,” Anca Muntean said.
The First Romanian Church has 100 members and is continuing to grow.
The services will be done in Romanian and will be at the host church, Magnolia Street Baptist Church.
“We don’t currently have the financial resources, and Magnolia Street Baptist has been very supportive of our church,” Anca Muntean said.
The open house will welcome not only Romanian community members but anyone else interested.
“Our dream is to reach as many people around us as we can,” Anca Muntean said.
