WINSTON-SALEM — A 27-year-old man faces three felony charges after a reported break-in and attempted sexual assault in 2007.
A 64-year-old woman told police on Oct. 8, 2007, that when she returned to her home in the 4700 block of South Main Street, a man attacked her. The victim fought the suspect, and he left the residence.
Police on Friday said they arrested Fred Goins Miller III and charged him with attempted second-degree rape, felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. Miller was incarcerated on a $250,000 bond.
Police said that the State Bureau of Investigation crime lab and LabCorp assisted in the investigation.
