RALEIGH (AP) — North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue thinks Michigan's governor would look good in blue.

Perdue has accepted a friendly wager from Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm as North Carolina faces Michigan State in the NCAA championship game Monday night in Detroit.

Both agreed to be photographed wearing the winning team's jersey and hat while dining on food from the team's state.

That means if the Tar Heels lose, Perdue will trade her beloved Carolina blue for green and white and dine on Michigan-made Kowalski sausage and cherries. The governor of the losing team also will donate $100 to a local food bank in the winning team's state.

Perdue said she's looking forward to the game, noting she and Granholm have several things in common — including they both "look good in Carolina blue."
