4 found dead in Catawba County home
CONOVER — Authorities are looking for a man who may have information about the deaths of four people found in a Catawba County home.
WSOC-TV is reporting that the bodies of a woman and her three children — two girls and a young boy — were found around 7 a.m. Thursday in a home just north of Conover. Authorities say the victims all had been either shot or stabbed to death.
Officials say a neighbor called 911 after seeing the mother attacked on her front porch.
Authorities are looking for a man in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5-foot-10 who was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt. Officials say he may be in a black or dark blue Toyota Camry.
Four nearby schools have been put on lockdown while authorities search the area.
Conover is about 40 miles northwest of Charlotte.
