Body is that of missing musician, family says
The body found Saturday off Whitehurst Road is that of missing musician Russell Peck, his wife said Sunday.
Cameron Gordon Peck said police told her they believe the body is that of her husband, who went missing March 1. He was reported missing after he didn't return from a walk.
Police do not suspect foul play.
Police had not positively identified the body, found in a wooded area off Whitehurst Road, as of late Sunday. Cameron Peck has left a message on her answering machine saying Russell Peck has been found.
About 40 volunteers helped Greensboro police search for Russell Peck on Thursday.
Peck, 64, was a classical composer.
