GREENSBORO - A former Guilford County Schools teacher has pleaded guilty to using a computer to solicit a child for sex.
Kevin Devahl Samuel, 46, of 2712 Glasshouse Road in Jamestown received a suspended sentence and five years of probation, court records show. Samuel, a former math teacher for exceptional children at the High School Ahead Academy, resigned from the district. He was one of three North Carolina educators accused last July after deputies say they were approached for sex on Internet chatrooms while posing as 13- or 14-year-old girls.
The case of the second Guilford educator who was charged at the same time remains pending. David Brian Seus, 31, of 4508 Garden Club St., High Point, was a Western Guilford High School teacher assistant and lacrosse coach. He has since resigned.
