The Reidsville Review and Eden Daily News will cut back to publishing two days per week beginning in April, according to a letter to readers from publisher Steve Kaylor. The papers will publish on Wednesday and Sunday beginning April 1.
Both papers are currently published five days a week.
The papers will also provide only local coverage, doing away with articles purchased from news wire services.
The announcement comes two weeks after the papers' parent company, Media General, headquartered in Richmond, Va., announced employees would have to take 10 unpaid days off by the end of September.
The company also owns the Madison Messenger, which recently went from publishing two days per week to one. All three papers are in Rockingham County.
Not all of the newspaper's content appears online.
