GREENSBORO - Friday is the last day for Metro Delistro at 200 S. Elm St. in downtown Greensboro.

Owner Noah Burgess says he has no plans to close the sister location Metro 300 (300 N. Greene St., Greensboro; 275-2334) and continues to offer breakfast and lunch there.

Metro Delistro was formerly known as Metro Gourmet Market.

This is a sad thing. The Metro was a quality restaurant and one of the first to open on the resurgent Elm Street. I know many who will miss the neighborhood-named sandwiches.

This was a great place. I am sad to see it close.

My understanding is that you can still get some of those Metro sandwiches just up the street at Burgess' other restaurant, Metro 300.

One of my favorite places to dine, really loved to have dinner here with friends in the summer months outside. I will miss coming back this spring/summer!
