ASHEBORO - One of the North Carolina Zoo's African exhibits, the indoor African Pavilion, will close beginning Monday for up to two weeks for repairs and improvements.
During the shutdown, contractors will repair the ceiling in the pavilion's upper entrance and modify some exhibits to accommodate new educational programs for kids. Zoo staff will also install children's games in some areas. The work cannot be accomplished while visitors are in the building.
All other animal exhibits in both the African and North American regions will remain open, weather permitting.
