Colo. brewery to begin sales in Greensboro
New Belgium Brewing said today it will begin selling its beer in some North Carolina stores and bars.
The Fort Collins, Colo., brewer will offer its Fat Tire Amber Ale, 1554 and Mothership Wit on March 2 in groceries and beer and wine shops in Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte, Asheville and Wilmington. By mid-April the same beers will be available in select bars, according to a news release.
"North Carolina is exciting for us as it marks our first foray along the eastern seaboard," said Bryan Simpson, spokesman from New Belgium. "We're looking forward to engaging in a new community and getting our beers in front of North Carolina's savvy beer-drinking crowd."
