GREENSBORO — A 37-year-old man was robbed Sunday behind the pool hall where he works.

At 4:17 a.m. Sunday, Greensboro police said Thomas Franklin Saunders Jr. was taking out the trash behind the Breakers Pool Hall at the Quaker Village shopping center at 5605 W. Friendly Ave.

When Saunders reached the trash bin, police said two men with guns approached him and ordered him to open the back door of Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches. Saunders told the men he did not work there, so they ordered him to knock on the door. The employees inside the business did not answer.

The suspects made Saunders lie on the ground, then took his cash and ran east toward Dolley Madison Road. Police did not say how much money was stolen but said that Saunders was unhurt.

Police had incomplete descriptions of the suspects. Anyone with information about this incident can call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
