GREENSBORO — Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a car Friday evening while trying to cross South Eugene Street.
Ronald Lee Wrenn, 58, no address available, was struck shortly before 8 p.m. by a 1997 Saturn driven by a teenage motorist, Sgt. J.R. Franks of the Greensboro Police Department said in a news release.
Wrenn was hit near Whittington Street as he crossed South Eugene’s southbound lanes. Wrenn was taken to Moses Cone Memorial Hospital where he died from injuries suffered in the crash, Franks said.
The department’s crash reconstruction unit is investigating, he said.
