The Cliff family, which was in a serious accident just before Christmas in Ohio, is home, and everyone but 15-year-old Abby is back in school.
The family has been overwhelmed by the community support, which includes a "Pray for the Cliffs" Facebook group of about 650 members, said mom Tricia Cliff on the Facebook site.
"We are just so glad to have everyone home," she said.
Mike Cliff, High Point Christian Academy high school principal, and sons Lee, 10, and Will, 13, were back to school Jan. 5, said Christina Bradley, high school administrative assistant at the school. Wife Tricia, daughter Abby and son Aaron, 12, returned last Sunday. Aaron was back in school Monday. Abby was taken to Wake Foerst University Medical Center Tuesday because she was still having trouble with pancreatitis, Bradley said.
Mike Cliff was driving his wife and four children to Michigan Dec. 23 when the family van hit a patch of ice near Cleveland. The van skidded across the highway before being hit from behind and launched into the concrete road barrier at 60 mph.
"There's been an enormous response from the school and community," Bradley said. The school has created a fund for the family and plans to present it to the family at a later date.
To donate to the Cliff Fund, make checks payable to High Point Christian Academy and send to 800 Phillips Ave., High Point, NC 27262. Note on the check or envelope the donation is for the Cliff Fund.
