GREENSBORO — A man looking to buy cigarettes stole money from a local convenience store early Monday.
Greensboro police said a man entered the Circle K at 2810 Pinecroft Road shortly before 6:30 a.m. Monday and asked for six cartons of cigarettes. The man put other items on the counter and started pacing the floor.
Police said the suspect then reached over the counter and grabbed money from the register. The man ran out of the store and drove off in what police said might have been a red Maza Protege.
No one was injured during the robbery, and police did not say how much money was stolen.
Police described the suspects as a black man who stands 5-foot-5 and has a dark complexion. He had a beard and wore a black jacket, blue jeans and a baseball cap. Anyone with information about this incident can call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
