Mid Atlantic Development Co. heeded suggestions from buyers of its Stone Gables Villas properties and this month made standard several design options that were previously classified as upgrades.
The change was made to meet buyers’ needs and simplify the design selection process for people who typically wanted the same options displayed in the models, according to Barbara Currie, Mid Atlantic’s director of marketing.
Now buyers looking at the villas, which start in the $240,000s, will have as part of the inclusive package granite countertops in the kitchen; hardwood in the living area, kitchen and hallways; additional trim throughout the home; and stainless steel kitchen appliances — refrigerator, dishwasher and oven. These features were added to standards that already included raised vanities, 9-foot and 12-foot smooth ceilings, gourmet kitchens, and 5 ¼-inch baseboards.
The one-level all brick and stone twin homes have three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a two-car garage. Square footage ranges from 1,998 to 2,784.
