GREENSBORO — The Guilford County Sheriff's Office released a composite sketch today of a man described as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a Whitsett store clerk early this month.
Deputies have made no arrests in the slaying of 69-year-old Bobby Lee Taylor. He was fatally shot either late on Dec. 6 or early on Dec. 7 at Taylor's Service and Grocery, the store he owned on N.C. 61 in eastern Guilford County.
The sheriff's office described him as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 10 to 5 feet 11 inches tall with a short, black goatee and a beard with one to two days of growth and long, black sideburns.
He also had dark eyebrows and a thin nose and weighed about 175 pounds.
He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with a hood and a grey toboggan.
The sheriff's office said they are looking for a green vehicle seen in the area around the time of the shooting.
