YWCA appoints interim director
GREENSBORO - The YWCA board of directors announced Friday that it has hired Jean Pudlo to serve as the financially troubled agency's interim executive director.
Pudlo, the owner of JB Pudlo Consulting, has more than 20 years experience in the non-profit sector, including her role as founding executive director at Reading Connections, Greensboro.
She will begin work immediately.
YWCA officials said the agency's financial problems surfaced during the administration of Adrienne Witherspoon, who served as executive director from November 2007 to Oct. 21. Witherspoon, who was asked to leave, has said she would discuss her experience at the YWCA at the appropriate time and place.
