Festival of Lights begins Friday

The annual Festival of Lights celebration, presented by the News & Record and Grassroots Productions Limited, will begin Friday night in downtown Greensboro.

SATURDAY

11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Christmas at Blandwood Mansion, 447 W. Washington St.

Noon: Greensboro Jaycees Holiday Parade. Will begin at North Greene and Lindsay, south to Market Street, east to Church Street, then north to the Children's Museum.

3 p.m.: "Black Nativity," Harrison Auditorium, N.C. A&T. Information: 334-7749.

4 p.m.: Market Bell Ringers, West Market Street United Methodist Church, 302 W. Market St. Free.

5 p.m.: "Bending Towards the Light: A Jazz Nativity," 302 W. Market St. Free.
