WINSTON-SALEM - Police have identified a 45-year-old man who was killed on the job Saturday.
Winston-Salem police said Thomas Guy Rayle of Randleman died shortly before noon Saturday when he fell into the back of a commercial hopper truck that dispenses mulch. Police said Rayle was killed when he became entangled in the truck's augers.
Police said Rayle was working for a landscape contracting company which had a job at 4125 N. Patterson Ave.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
