ASHEVILLE (AP) — Rescue crews worked in the dark to find a hunter who fell off a cliff and broke his leg in the North Carolina mountains.
WLOS-TV reported that the 25-year-old hunter was taken to a hospital for treatment of the broken bone.
The rescue occurred early today in Haywood County. The hunter's name was not released.
Authorities say the man landed on a rock ledge after falling about 30 feet. The ledge was 30 feet off the ground.
