GREENSBORO — The 100,000th baby was born at The Women's Hospital of Greensboro today.
The milestone child is Jaylen Nashawn Woodard, who was born at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday and weighed in at 8 pounds, 15 ounces. He is the son of Tasha Woodard of Greensboro.
The Women's Hospital opened in 1990 after the Moses Cone Health System bought the former Greensboro Hospital building from Humana two years earlier. It was the state's first free-standing hospital dedicated to women's healthcare.
