GREENSBORO - Officials with the Greensboro Urban Ministry said Friday they have raised the needed $12,000 to purchase this year's Thanksgiving meal at the shelter.
"The generosity of the people of Greensboro is amazing, even in these very hard times," said the Rev. Mike Aiken, executive director of the ministry in a news release.
Additional funds raised will be placed in a community foundation to be used for future years dinners.
