GREENSBORO - Two men were charged Thursday in connection with multiple home invasions and the armed robbery at a Greensboro Applebee's in September.
Greensboro police arrested Michael Lee Burge Jr., 23, of 5515 Apt. 205 W. Market St. and Dwight Braxton Douglas, 21, of Fuquay Varina, according to arrest warrants.
Warrants state from Sept. 2 to Sept. 12, the duo broke several homes, held residents at gun or knifepoint and stole cash, electronics, credit cards and jewelry.
The heists netted more than $6,400 in cash and property.
The duo is also accused in the Sept. 12 armed robbery of the Applebee's at 3200 Battleground Ave. and robbing the business of $6,000 and employees of their wallets and cell phones at gunpoint.
Burge is charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of second-degree kidnapping and one count of felony conspiracy.
He is being held on a $175,000 bond at the Guilford County jail in Greensboro.
Douglas was charged with nine counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of first-degree burglary, five counts of second-degree kidnapping and four counts of felony conspiracy.
He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
