WENTWORTH - Democrats Harold Bass, Tommy Flynt and James Kallam have prevailed in the race for the Rockingham County Board of Commissioners.
Tallies show Bass as the top vote getter with 17.2 percent of the vote. Flynt and Kallam followed with 17.1 percent and 16.98 percent, respectively, according to unofficial results.
The three beat out Republicans Jerry Odell, Robert Wilson and Richard Moore for three seats on the board.
Rockingham County Board of Elections staff had to manually enter results from five one-stop locations. Tina Cardwell, deputy director of the Board of Elections, said results from those locations would not load into the system Tuesdsay night for staff to get a total vote count.
