FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain is visiting Fayetteville for the first time in his campaign.

McCain will appear at the Crown Coliseum on Tuesday, the same venue that hosted Democratic rival Barack Obama on Oct. 19. A statement from the campaign says McCain's appearance is part of his "Joe the Plumber" tour.

Also Tuesday, North Carolina Veterans and Military Families for Obama will hold a rally in Fayetteville to highlight the Illinois senator's support for the military. Wounded Marine Capt. Jonathan Kuniholm will speak at the veterans rally. He also spoke at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Fayetteville is the home of Fort Bragg.
