Dole to hold rally in Wentworth

WENTWORTH — Sen. Elizabeth Dole will be in Rockingham County on Wednesday for a voter rally.
The rally will begin at 9 a.m. in front of the Governmental Center.
Sen. Richard Burr will introduce Dole. State Sen. Phil Berger, Rockingham County District Attorney Phil Berger Jr. and Dan Zeller, chairman of the Rockingham County Republican Party, will also participate in the event, according to a news release from the county Republican Party.
Dole will also visit Forsyth, Davidson and Iredell counties on Wedesday, according to her campaign staff.
Dole is seeking a second term. She faces state Sen. Kay Hagan of Greensboro in the Nov. 4 election.
