Archer Elementary's wishes were granted recently when Levolor Kirsch Window Fashions donated a truckload of supplies Oct. 17.
Among the items were televisions, digital cameras and DVD players.
"The students were just overjoyed," Patrice Brown, Archer principal, said.
Brown said Archer and Levolor have been partners in the Harvest for Teachers program for two years.
Harvest for Teachers began in 2001. The program matches businesses with Guilford County schools.
Once a business is matched with a school, it raises funds for requested supplies.
"Levolor pretty much got everything our teachers asked for on their wish lists," Brown said. "It's such a blessing because if we didn't get these donations, the teachers wouldn't be able to meet all of the students' needs."
Brown said Levolor has always maintained a good relationship with the school.
Levolor employees have visited the school on several occasions and read to the students.
Brown said Levolor also held a fall festival, with the proceeds going to Archer Elementary.
"We've looked forward to this project for the past two years -- helping the students and teachers at Archer Elementary School," said Cessy Brown, marketing manager of Levolor Kirsch Window Fashions.
"We're delighted to be able to provide Archer the supplies they need to enhance the learning experience for their students," she added.
