Trees are looking gorgeous with bright orange and red leaves. Pumpkins and mums are popping up on porches. Stew pots are simmering, fall festivals are going on and Halloween hauntings are here.
The Haunted Trail at Freedom Park in Eden kicks off at 8 tonight. Round up your friends for support and walk through the trail if you dare. I chickened out last year, so my son hooked up with his friends. I could hear the screams as they walked through the woods. He loved it.
Several organizations are holding stews this weekend: First United Methodist Church in Reidsville, Bethany Civic Center in Bethany and the first C.H. Gover Benefit in Eden. Place your order today, so you don't miss out. Most stews sell out quickly.
