Housekeeper who reported break-in is arrested

A housekeeper in Davidson County has been charged with stealing property from a home where she worked and then telling authorities that the home had been broken into.

On Oct. 13 and 15, the Davidson County Sheriff s Office received reports that somebody had broken into a home at 256 Cedar Branch Lane in Denton and stole property, according to a news release.

The first incident was reported by Nina Hill Ticconi, who was the housekeeper of the home at the time of both incidents. The second incident was reported by Brian Brown, owner of the home.

Detectives investigated both incidents and determined that the house was never broken into; Ticconi is charged with taking items from the house.

Ticconi, 26, of 121 Cedar Branch Road in Denton, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of felony larceny and one count of misdemeanor filing a false report. She was released from custody on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
