GREENSBORO - UNCG will host a discussion Oct. 27, on race, gender and electoral politics.
The free event is from 6-8 p.m. in the Virginia Dare Room, Alumni House.
It's sponsored by the African American Studies Program, the Women and Gender Studies Program and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
The panel will include Alva Jones of the NAACP Student Club; Dr. C.P. Gause, education professor and author of "Integration Matters;" Ed Whitfield, executive director of the Fund for Democratic Communities; and Olga Wright, Republican candidate for N.C. House District 58.
Other panelists, including District 58 Rep. Alma Adams, have also been invited to participate.
