Former N&R publisher named dean at Queens University

Former News & Record publisher Van King has been named the dean of the School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte.
King will oversee the development of the new school, including its curriculum, programs, strategic planning, marketing and external affairs initiatives, according to a news release.
King left the News & Record in 2004.
Queens University of Charlotte is a private, co-ed, Presbyterian-affiliated university that serves about 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students.
