Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown continued to bemoan his team's love of jump shots over trying to get to the basket after Friday's loss to Memphis dropped them to 0-2 in the preseason.
The long-range shots weren't falling as the Bobcats were 3-of-16 from 3-point range, part of a 40 percent shooting night from the field.
"We have to teach these jump shooters to dribble-drive and get to the rim," Brown said.
Charlotte committed 24 turnovers in the game, leading to 29 Memphis points.
"We are not playing very fluid," said Charlotte forward Sean May, who missed all of last season after microfracture surgery on his right knee. "Emeka (Okafor) and I are still learning how to play with each other. I am still learning how to play with everyone. I am still dealing with trying to get into better shape and doing things that I haven't done in a year.
"That's the good thing about preseason. A lot of players need preseason."
HEAT: center Jamaal Magloire will miss at least six weeks with a broken left hand, and could be sidelined even longer if surgery is required to repair the fracture.
Magloire was injured in Miami's preseason overtime loss against New Jersey in Paris on Thursday. He returned to South Florida after the game, while the Heat remained behind for a rematch with the Nets today in London.
CHINESE ARENAS: The NBA and AEG will announce today plans to design and operate at least a dozen arenas in China, extending the league's presence in its largest foreign market. The arenas could form the infrastructure of an NBA-branded league in China.
Under their plan, the league and AEG will make modest cash investments in the arenas, but their expertise will give them substantial ownership stakes in the buildings.
The arenas are to be financed largely by local and provincial governments.
"We won't do this without an economic return over time for AEG and the NBA," said Timothy J. Leiweke, the president and chief executive of AEG.
He and David Stern, the NBA commissioner, will announce the joint venture at the O2 arena in London.
Stern said the league was looking to capitalize on a growing urban Chinese middle class with increasing income.
