2 killed in Greensboro wrecks

GREENSBORO -- Two people were killed in unrelated wrecks early Saturday.

Thomas G. Fahy, 47, was driving a 2003 Honda Accord on the off ramp from Bryan Boulevard east of Fleming Road when he lost control of the vehicle, according to police. The car struck a rock ditch and rolled several times before striking two trees in the woods. Fahy died at the scene. The wreck occurred about 3:21 a.m.

James Edward Davis was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Business 85 north. When he approached Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard about 2:50 a.m., he lost control of the motorcycle, colliding with the guardrail along the median, police said. Davis, 50, of McLeansville, and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. Davis was killed; his passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment.
