BURLINGTON - One man was arrested and another remains at large in connection with the theft of more than $2,000 in baseball bats from a Burlington store.
At 1:23 a.m. Monday, officers responded to Burlington Sporting Goods at 2233 Hanford Road on an alarm call.
Officers found the business was broken into and six baseball bats valued at $2,214 were missing.
Through video surveillance, officers were able to identify two suspects.
Jason Nathaniel Turner, 20, of 6726 Cotton Wood Drive in Snow Camp, turned himself into authorities this afternoon.
He turned himself into authorities Tuesday and has been charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
He is being held on a $7,500 bond at the Alamance County Detention Center.
Police are still looking for the second suspect, Michael Travis Cheek of 3531 Windale Lane in Mebane on the same charges.
