Palin coming to Greensboro
Fundraisers for the Republican Party in Greensboro say they plan to hold an event featuring vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on Oct. 16.
The event is likely to be hosted at the home of New Breed CEO Louis DeJoy and his wife, former ambassador Aldona Wos. An event featuring President Bush scheduled for Tuesday was canceled because of upheaval in the financial industry.
"I can confirm that he (DeJoy) has Sarah Palin coming in on the 16th, in the late afternoon," said Joe Hauck, who works with DeJoy. Hauck could not say whether the Palin event was a replacement for the Bush appearance.
