GREENSBORO — The ramp from Interstate 40 east to Business 85 north will remain closed through Monday morning as crews continue to clear a tractor trailer accident.
Crews are unloading the contents of a trailer that wrecked Tuesday night by skidding down an embankment at Exit 219. Crews also must repair the guardrail.
The N.C. Department of Transportation originally expected to reopen the ramp Thursday night, but repairs and cleanup are taking longer than expected. The ramp is now expected to reopen at 9 a.m. Monday.
Motorists trying to get from eastbound I-40 to northbound Business 85 can take the Groomrtown Road exit (Exit 218) and drive south until Groometown connects with Business 85.
