Greensboro-based RF Micro Devices said today it has opened a customer support center in Bangalore, India.
The new center houses applications engineering, customer service, sales management and technical sales. The Bangalore center significantly expands RF Micro's ability to support regional manufacturers in Greater India, the company stated in a news release.
The Indian Semiconductor Association forecasts the semiconductor market in India will increase 29.9 percent annually to $36 billion in sales by 2015.
RF Micro now has about 100 sales, applications engineering and customer service employees working in seven customer support centers throughout Asia.
