Rev. Al Sharpton will visit Greensboro Monday for a morning voter registration rally at N.C. A&T and to speak at a Greensboro church later that day.
Sharpton, a civil rights activist and host of the news talk show, "The Al Sharpton Show" was a 2004 presidential candidate and is the head of the National Action Network , a nationwide civil rights organization.
He will begin the voter rally at 10 a.m. Monday in the Stallings Ballroom at A&T's Memorial Student Union. At 6 p.m. Sharpton will speak at St. James Baptist Church, 536 West Florida St. The event is free and open to the public. Information: 707-9464.
