Deputies seek convicted sex offender
EDEN - Deputies are looking for a convicted sex offender the sheriff's office alleges failed to register his new address within 10 days as required.
Rockingham County Sheriff's deputy Mark Thompson obtained a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender against 30-year-old Robert Lewis Callahan Jr. His last known address was 130 Odle Lane in Eden.
In 2002, Callahn was convicted of two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and received a sentence of one year and nine months, according to the North Carolina Offender Registry.
The sheriff's office asks those with information about his whereabouts to call 634-3232 or 911 if seen.
