Educator Kozol to lecture at Elon

Jonathan Kozol, an educator, author and activist, will speak Tuesday night at Elon University.
The university's Common Reading Lecture starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Gym in the Koury Athletic Center. Tickets are $12, or free with an Elon ID.
Kozol's books include "Shame of the Nation," "Death at an Early Age" and "Savage Inequalities." He has been a sharp critic of the federal education law, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
All first-year students at Elon are reading "Shame of the Nation." This 2005 book examines the resegregation of the nation's public schools.
